Application of Affiliate Links on Media Associated With:

• Content related to tobacco, gambling, or weapons.
• Pornographic or obscene material.
• Excessive or explicit violence.
• Defamatory, offensive, or profane content.
• Discriminatory or “hate speech” targeting individuals or groups based on race, gender, creed, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, or language.
• Viruses, worms, corrupted files, malware, or any content intended to harm or disable software, hardware, or security systems.

Affiliate Restrictions:

• Affiliates, and any third-party collaborators, must not:
  • Use advertising emails to promote Shopee without prior written approval from Shopee.
  • Employ automated queries, robots, or computer-generated search requests.
  • Use deceptive search engine optimization (SEO) practices to create or hide false impressions, clicks, inquiries, or conversions.
  • Drive or utilize SEM or keyword-based ads using the Shopee brand or similar terms unless Shopee provides written consent; such terms should be added as negative keywords.
  • Employ scraping or other automated data extraction methods to access Shopee’s intellectual property (e.g., logos, visuals, and creative assets) or confidential information from the platform.
  • Place affiliate links or promote affiliate media through Shopee’s or its sellers’ social media channels to hijack traffic.
  • Place affiliate links on media with prohibited content or on torrent or streaming sites.
  • (If an affiliate network) Re-broker to another network as sub-affiliates.
  • Include lotteries or lucky draws in affiliate media without Shopee’s consent.

Compliance with laws and terms of use
The promoter should ensure that the placement of the promoter's media and promoter links complies with all applicable laws in the promoter's location or the region where the goods and services are provided, and in compliance with the terms of use and other current standards or specifications required by Shopee ( Including content restrictions, technical specifications, privacy requirements, user experience requirements and requirements related to Shopee's public image).

Prohibited Behaviors
Promoters shall not engage in the following behaviors by themselves or allow any third party:

1. Use advertising emails to promote Shopee without Shopee’s prior written consent;
2. Use robots, other automated query tools, or computer-generated search requests;
3. Improper use of search engine optimization services to generate or hide fraudulent or invalid views, inquiries, clicks or conversions;
4. Drive or utilize the Shopee brand or private label to direct any search engine marketing keywords and other keyword-based advertising traffic to the Shopee platform without Shopee’s prior written consent (in other words, Shopee or other similar words may be misleading) It should be listed as prohibited words);
5. Use any automated crawling, data extraction or any other method to access, query, collect or use Shopee’s intellectual property rights, including trademarks, key visuals, creative materials and information from the platform or other sources, without Shopee’s prior written consent. Confidential information of the route;
6. 8. Steal traffic by placing publisher links or promoting publisher media through any social media channels of Shopee or any social media channels of Shopee or sellers and/or other promoters;
9. (in the case where the publisher is a marketing network) redirect to another marketing network as a sub-publisher;
10. include any opportunity to win a prize or sweepstakes in the Publisher’s Media;
11. Randomly post content unrelated to products and/or stores (including but not limited to false promotions, entertainment news, and clickbait product reviews);
12. Spamming publisher links without substantive content or sending duplicate content to the same audience;
13. provide social media access to other publishers without consent for the purpose of qualifying for registration;
14. run clickbait and/or social media advertising with the intent to improperly obtain clicks and traffic;
15. Steal another publisher’s content and publish it as your own without consent and/or credit/attribution; or
16. Use any form of advertisement pretending to be Shopee official.

Orders are attributed based on the 7-day last-click model.
○ 7-Day Attribution Window: an order may only be attributed if within 7 days of when the order was placed, the buyer has clicked on an affiliate link.
○ The click on the affiliate link has to be the last click that occurred before the order is placed.
